Hunter Horses For Sale
When looking for a great “hunter” it starts with movement. Hunters are typically known for their ground movement, skimming their toes across the ground with a sweeping motion, not up and down. Next, the horse must have a solid form over jumps. If a hunter jumps over fences without tight form and dangles its forelegs, it is considered poor form. Finally, their mind, how they think combined with their personality help complete the package. A good hunter will be quiet, calm and brave, that is not excitable. To be a great hunter, the horse really has to love its job and this often exhibited through the horse ears being pricked forward while at work.
